Q: How often should I replace my bundles?

A:  With proper maintenance, your bundles should last you a couple of years. Once the hair begins to look dull, and the tracks seem visibly thin, it may be time to replace them.  

 

Q: How many bundles do I need for a full sew-in?

A:  This depends on the length and texture. Refer to the description section on the product page of the texture you're interested in purchasing for a breakdown on how many bundles you'll need.

 

Q: Why do bundles from some other companies have a foul odor/smell?

A:  Any explanation would be an assumption. With that said, all hair sold through Emerald Hair Extensions is ethically sourced from temples in India. Once the hair reaches our custody, it goes through a detoxing process to remove any excess residue that may have gotten on the hair during the collection process. This step is to ensure that our hair is not only clean, but also free of any unpleasant odors before it reaches you.

 

Q: Can I dye my bundles while they're installed?

A:  Bundles can be dyed, however we recommend consulting a professional licensed stylist before dyeing or bleaching your hair/bundles.

 

Q: Can I straighten my bundles without ruining the curl pattern?

A:  Bundles can be straighten. Please use a heat protectant and keep in mind that excessive use of heat can alter and/or damage the curl pattern.

 

Q: Why did my bundles come in different shades of black/brown?

A: Although we make every effort to match the bundles as closely as possible for each package, the nature of raw hair means that variations in color and curl pattern are to be expected, even within bundles from the same donor. The expectation of these variations are due to the natural characteristics of human hair. Each bundle represents the natural hair of an individual donor, which means it carries its own distinct traits. Just as no two people have exactly the same hair, no two bundles will be identical. This variation is not a flaw but a testament to the authenticity of the product.
